Getting the Perfect Fit
To ensure your bra is the right size, it needs to be put on correctly. Once this is done you can use the trouble shooting guide to help you know what needs to improve.
Step 1:
- Put your bra on, fastening to the loosest hook and eye. This will ensure that you can tighten the underband as the bra loosens with wear.
Step 2:
- Adjust the fit by lifting each breast up and into the cup while holding the underwire in position.
- The underwire should fit into the crease under each breast. You should be able to follow the underwire from the sternum to under your arms and see that it fits flat against your body. If it’s lifting anywhere, you may need a different size.
Step 3:
- Adjust the straps to a length where they don’t dig in; the band does most of the support so the straps shouldn’t be placing any pressure on the shoulders. You should be able to get about 2” of space between your shoulder and the strap when lifted.
Step 4:
- Shrug your shoulders or lift your arms above your head to make sure that the bra stays in place in the front and the back. You don’t want to see the underwires lifting from your body and you don’t want the back riding up so that it’s no longer parallel to the front.
