Jan 09, 2020 Women in Fortnight: EmilyPhoto Series by: Arden Wray Emily is a film photographer, model, and home baker living in Los Angeles. 1. What do you like to wear closest to your skin? I have a vintage opal ring that I feel naked without. A rainbow robe from Marfa, TX I put on as soon as I get home. This fall and winter, I've been very into knit sets. What does feeling beautiful mean to you? Feeling beautiful means radiating a glow, both inside and out. That glow can come from feeling loved and loving myself, spending time with friends, adorning myself in beautiful, sustainable clothing, nourishing myself with good food, and being grounded in my self worth. I feel beautiful reflecting on how my style and sense of self has changed over the years, and how much more comfortable I feel in the present moment. 3. What do you wear to feel most like yourself? Anything off the shoulder with a dramatic sleeve! 4. When do you feel most confident? I feel most confident when I'm actively expanding and manifesting the things I want to call into my life. Having the balance in my life to be intentional, quells anxiety and allows me to live authentically and confidently. 5. What makes a place feel like home? A sense of warmth. Being with my cat and boyfriend in the living room while something is baking in the oven. 6. Are there any self-care rituals that are important to you? I love indulging in self care from going to the Korean spa to layering as many oils on my face, morning and night, as possible.
